History
It derives from the daiquiri of the Floridita bar in Havana. The story goes that Ernest Hemingway tried the house drink and said it was good, but that he preferred it without sugar and with double the rum, which gave rise to the Hemingway Daiquiri, or Papa Doble. Later the recipe gained grapefruit juice and came to be called the Hemingway Special.
