History
It was created in 2002 by Douglas Ankrah at the Townhouse bar in London, after a visit to a strip club in Cape Town. Ankrah denied any sexual connotation in the name: he said it was simply what he imagined a porn star would drink. In November 2018 it was the most ordered cocktail in the United Kingdom, and in 2019 the Marks & Spencer chain renamed its version "passion fruit martini" after complaints.
