History
A relative of the Negroni in which dry vermouth takes the place of the sweet red vermouth. It was created in the 1950s by Giovanni Raimondo at the Hotel Excelsior in Rome, although at first it was credited to Harry's Bar in Venice. The name comes from the cardinal red the drink takes on once it is made.
